Middle River Farm
Middle River Farm has been in the Ward family since 1964. Middle River Farm started with Joan and Nelson Ward who purchased the property and began with a Horse Back Riding stable which then evolved into cattle farming. Through the years, Middle River Farm has seen many changes and the Ward Family has carried on the love of agriculture.
Middle River Farm is a diverse livestock-based operation raising Shorthorn cattle, mixed breed pigs, laying hens, meat chickens and large white turkeys. All animals are raised on grass, Genetically Modified ("GM") free grains, and grow in a stress free environment. Our meat products are locally produced and federally inspected. We firmly believe our methods of handling, feeding and processing are humane and create a product that is flavorful, clean and nutritious.
Philosophy: if animals are raised humanely and fed from pastures and GM free grains, they will be healthy and content. Grass fed animals produce a naturally lean meat that is higher in Omegas, Vitamin A, E and K, Beta Carotene, CLA, and lower in cholesterol.

Rounding out the team is Operations Manager Dan Ferchat, who makes sure that everything runs as smooth as Legends Whisky. We not only create our own labels but bring to life the legends you’ll find on them. With every bottle filled, labelled and boxed by hand, our hope is that our spirits will become part of your story, too.

Originally started in 1935 by Victor Cox it set its roots in a small service station in Rosseau Ontario.
