Dun-Ahmic Snowriders Snowmobile Club

We maintain and groom 130 kms of trails in McKellar with some of our trails reaching into the Dunchurch and Ahmic Harbour areas.  The vast network of trails that contain thousands and thousands of kilometres of interconnected trails across Ontario are built and maintained by clubs local to each area.  It is all made possible by the cooperation of 18,000 landowners and 6,000 volunteers. The trail permit you purchase from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs gives you access to all of these trails and your purchase also helps to finance our operations.  Interactive Trail Maps, Mobile Device Maps, and GPS maps are available from the OFSC. If you woud like to get involved with the club, new volunteers are always welcome.  Send us an email or contact us on Facebook and come out to one of our club meetings held every month in the fall, winter and spring months.

Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run

The Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run has been running for 36 years. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025. Since 1985, "sledvelopes" with letters prepared especially for this event, are gathered, loaded onto sleds and hauled by several dog teams to Rosseau, Ontario, 17 km through the bush on groomed trails. Teams gather and leave from the Village of Humphrey, Ontario, on Highway 141, to the cheers and good wishes from the many spectators and friends as the teams disappear in the bush on their way to the Rosseau Post Office to be received by the Post Mistress. Check the website for updates and details.

McKellar Community Centre Skating Rink

The Township of McKellar maintains a skating rink at the Community Centre. As the ice is natural, the weather must cooperate before the rink can open. Check the Township website or call the Township office for the current status of the rink.
