Community Group Events in Honour of McKellar's Sesquicentennial

Kids Fish 'n' Fun Day

There were 20 kids and 56 adults that braved the cold for the 5th annual Fish 'n Fun Day held this year on February 18 in honour of the Township of McKellar's 150th Anniversary. No fish were caught but there was lots of fun and laughter. Thanks to the Whitestone McKellar Lions Club members for BBQing hamburgers and hot dogs for

the hungry crowd, the volunteer Firefighters for keeping everyone safe and taking up the David vs Goliath Tug of War Challenge (Kids won, of course), the members of the Sesquicentennial Committee for the Flag and their lottery display and the members of the Recreation Committee for organizing another successful and fun day for kids of all ages.
