Timothy is a research scientist, project manager, and communicator with a 25-year career encompassing a range of fields in environmental science and conservation. While his research career is based at Queen’s University, he is also employed at the University of Iceland as the comms lead for a large Horizon Europe research project. He has acted as a consultant and volunteer science advisor for both WWF-Canada and WWF Arctic Programme as well as running his own editing business.
Timothy’s grandparents came to Ontario’s cottage country as new cottagers in 1950, and his extended family can still be found at the family compound in Haliburton every summer. Now a full time-resident, Timothy is an enthusiastic advocate for the health and sustainable enjoyment of our beautiful lakes, a cause he also supports as a board member of both Safe Quiet Lakes and the Coalition of Haliburton Property Owners' Associations.
